Sr. Gameplay (FPS) Animator

• Experience: 4-5 Years in Game Development (Preferably FPS or AA/AAA Titles)

Responsibilities
• Create high-quality 3D animations for characters, creatures, props, and environments.
• Work closely with the art and design teams to ensure animations are aligned with the game’s style and mechanics.
• Collaborate with riggers to ensure efficient and flexible rigs that meet the animation needs.
• Implement animations in the game engine (using Unreal Engine) and ensure seamless integration.
• Create both keyframe animations and motion-capture clean-ups, depending on project requirements.
• Optimize animations for performance without compromising quality.
• Iterate on feedback from the Directors and other team members to refine animations.
• Assist in creating cinematic sequences using Unreal’s Sequencer.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Game Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of animation principles, including timing, weight, and fluidity.
• Proficiency in 3D animation software such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max.
• Experience with motion capture tools and workflows.
• Strong experience with Unreal Engine 5 and its animation tools (Control Rig, Animation Blueprints, Sequencer).
• Knowledge of rigging and skinning for character animation.
• Ability to create both realistic and stylized animations.
• A keen eye for detail and storytelling through animation.
• Familiarity with facial animation and lip-sync techniques.
• Knowledge of animation scripting to enhance workflows.

- • Experience shipping game titles
• Extensive experience with Rigging Characters
• Experience with UE5’s Motion Warping and IK systems.
• Familiarity with Metahuman Animator for facial animation.
• Knowledge of retargeting animations using Unreal’s built-in tools.
• Prior experience working on a game project built with Lyra Starter Pack.
